Module 2 - Creating and publishing

In this module, you will learn about:

  • Copying text from text editor to word processor and formatting the entered text
  • Creating, editing and formatting text documents in a word processor
  • Creating a table, Chats and Shapes
  • Working with Spreadsheets, Creating Formulas, Calculating using functions
  • Creating Presentations Using Powerpoint

2.1 Microsoft Word

In this section, you will learn the following skills:

  • Opening, saving a file, opening new document, copying text from editor and spell check
  • Formatting in word, paragraph and text alignments, find and replace, inserting table
  • Sorting, inserting graph or charts and shapes in word.


2.2 Formatting texts and inserting a table

In this video we are going to learn about formatting texts, using bullets and numbering and finally Text alignment and Ident.


2.3 Sorting information in a table

In this part we shall study how to set up a computer and manage different files and folders using Windows Explorer. We shall learn a little about the computer settings.


2.4 Microsoft Excel

In this section, we are going to learn:

  • Opening excel, creating new sheets and saving excel files
  • Entering and editing information in excel, selecting and deleting
  •  Entering information in a spreadsheet, copying and pasting in different sheets and naming sheets
  • Calculation using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division sign, precedence of calculation
  • AutoFill Text, Numbers, Dates, Formulas and calculating percentages
  • Absolute cell reference
  • Calculation using functions Sum, Max, Min, Average and IF function
  • Formatting cells
  • Inserting charts, sorting and filtering.


2.5 Excel: Auto Filling and entering formulas

In this lesson, we shall learn:

  • Calculating using Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division.
  • Precedence of Calculation.
  • Auto-filling information in Excel such as Text, Numbers, Dates, and Formulas.
  • We shall also learn to calculate the percentages.


2.6 Excel: Absolute cell references and Advanced functions

In the lesson we are going to study about Absolute Cell reference as a way of locking different cell names before auto filling their information, and advanced functions like SUMIF, COUNTIF, AVERAGEIF, etc.


2.7 Excel: if function and inserting charts

In this part we shall study about: IF Functions and Nested IFs, Inserting charts, and Sort and Filter.


2.8 Power Point – Creating and working with slides

In this part we are going to learn opening and saving power-point file in different types, and creating a power point presentation.
