Module 1 - Using Technology

At the end of this module, you will be able to:

• Understand how to connect the computer to the Internet and how the cloud works
• Safety and maintenance of computers and how to protect them.

1.1 Connecting to the internet

In this Video, we are going to learn how to connect a computer to the internet and types of Internet services. And we shall talk a bit about some needed hardware that allow us to connect to the Internet such as a Modem and a Router.

1.2 Getting Started with the internet

Here we are going to learn about Web browsers, websites and understanding the purpose of links and how to recognize links.

1.3 Understanding the cloud

Here we are going to understand the purpose of using the cloud , and talk about some cloud-based service storage like Google Drive and Dropbox. We shall also learn about computer malware.

1.4 Maintenance and Troubleshooting

In this video, we shall learn how to protect your computer against malware and explain most often problems that can happen to a computer and learn how they can be troubleshooting using several techniques.
